Restored February 1995 for use on City Tramway.

The Dunedin City & Suburban Tramway Co. Ltd. purchased steam trams, horse trams/trailer cars and horses from David Proudfoot in February 1883 and carried on the tramway operation in Dunedin until taken over by the Dunedin City Corporation in 1901. There were five Dunedin built single deck, 4 wheeled trailers of the style of No. 18 with 8 side windows incorporating small fanlight windows above, and separate canopy above the driver. The trailer was recovered from Dunedin and brought up to Ferrymead where it was restored for use as a trailer and leased to Christchurch City Tramway.

On the City Tramway, it normally operates as a trailer with Dunedin Box Car 11, and was repainted to more closely match the colour scheme of that vehicle.
