1. Pictures from Don McAra for sale

Some of the original illustrations from Don McAra's book "Hold very tight please!" on NZ public transport Cablecars have been donated at a specially reduced price to make them accessible to anybody who wishes to make a donation towards the badly needed new trambarn at Ferrymead. Nine of the ten paintings, all in watercolour, are framed. By buying one of these paintings you are contributing not only to an urgent cause, but are gaining an important part of NZ tramway history, especially of the men and equipment that were needed to service Dunedin's long lived cable car lines. The first began running in 1881, and the last ceased in 1957. Refer to May Ferrymead Tram Tracts for details as to  how you may easily acquire one of these illustrations by a recognised Dunedin and Canterbury artist.
