The Bruce Maffei Photographic Collection comprises approx. 500 scanned photographs (3 Gb) of Ferrymead Trams in operation, Ferrymead Infrastructure, Trolleybuses from different parts of New Zealand, Wellington Trams at QE2 Park, Melbourne Trams and tram drawings. There is also a collection of Tram Tickets, a small number of Postcards, Traverser Blueprints, and News paper Tram/Bus Cartoons which have been put on to .pdf format.

Photographs can be made available to THS members under Copyright law, for personal viewing or for research purposes. There are conditions in the event that photos are required for publication. There is an administrative charge payable to the THS Library depending on how much information is required and the media (DVD disc or flashdrive) required to transport the data. Most photos are in .tif format which gives better quality but takes more computer space. The quality of photos cannot be any better than the original and there are some very old photos that are in poor condition to start with.
