Colin Loach Photographic Collection comprises over 1,000 photos (6 Gb) of Ferrymead trams, buses, events and people; City trams; Buses from elsewhere in New Zealand and Buses/Trams from Overseas covering the period from the 1960's to 1990's. 

Photographs can be made available to THS members under Copyright law, for personal viewing or for research purposes. There are conditions in the event that photos are required for publication. There is an administrative charge payable to the THS Library depending on how much information is required and the media (DVD disc or flashdrive) required to transport the data. Most photos are in .tif format which gives better quality but takes more computer space. The quality of photos cannot be any better than the original and there are some very old photos that are in poor condition to start with.
